BREATHALYSER CALIBRATION

Calibration for AlcoDigital, Drager, Lifeloc and AlcoHawk breathalysers

We provide breathalyser calibration for more makes and models that anyone else in the UK; AlcoDigital, Dräger, Lifeloc and AlcoHawk

Calibrations are carried out by our experienced in-house team at our workshop in Sussex using wet bath simulators. We are authorised to calibrate over 58 devices currently available in the UK.

All breathalysers should be calibrated at least once every 12 months and those used for workplace alcohol testing should be calibrated every 6 months.

Replaceable breathalyser sensors

Our Swap & Go range of breathalysers feature replaceable sensors and are unique to us – no other breathalyser brand in the UK has replaceable sensors.

Replaceable sensors eliminate the need to send your breathalyser away  for calibration. Simply order a replacement sensor and replace it yourself, just like you would a battery.

This unique feature comes at no additional cost; breathalysers with replaceable sensors are still priced around their accuracy and longevity.

Why calibrate a breathalyser

The importance of regular calibration

Calibration is similar to having a service on your car. If you use your car a lot, you’ll need to have it serviced more often – and even if your car just sits in the garage for most of the time, it still needs an annual service.

Most of our clients perform less than 500 tests a year per device, in which case an annual calibration is adequate.

If a breathalyser hasn’t been recalibrated for some time, it’s possible that the operating range of the sensor cannot be recovered. We therefore recommend that personal breathalysers are calibrated every 12 months and workplace breathalysers, every 6 months.
